OUR MISSION
The Valley of the Sun Hockey Association (VOSHA) is dedicated to fostering excellence in youth hockey through high-quality skill development, a commitment to safety, and an inclusive community environment. Our mission is to create a positive and rewarding hockey experience by promoting progressive skill growth, teamwork, and the core values of sportsmanship and respect.
We empower players through comprehensive training, education, and mentorship while encouraging family engagement to strengthen our community. VOSHA continuously strives to evolve and expand our programs, ensuring we meet the diverse needs of our members and support the long-term success of youth hockey.
Jim Rogers
1964 - 2020
OUR FOUNDER
VOSHA was founded by Jim Rogers with the goal to make youth hockey in Arizona accessible to all who want to play. Jim touched the lives of families across the valley and was a driving force for youth hockey in Arizona. He dedicated the last 40 years of his life to the sport and all of the players that crossed his path.
As stated by the Arizona Coyotes, "We are extremely thankful for his lifetime of dedication to growing the game of hockey in our state. Our hearts go out to his family, his rinks and his players."
Jim's passion for the game and care for the people are the heart of the VOSHA program, and we are proud to carry on his legacy every time our players step on the ice.
