JIM ROGERS MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP FUND

The scholarship fund has been established in memory of Jim Rogers to provide financial aid to qualified families in an effort to provide a better opportunity for all players to participate. We will strive to ensure that our organization continues to increase the development of youth hockey as it fulfills the needs of our members.  To carry on the Titans "pay it forward" mentality, all scholarship families will be required to fulfill volunteer hours throughout the season based on the scholarship amount received.

Application Process

The scholarship application opens each year in early August and remains open for 30 days. Players in good standing are able to apply in one or both categories of (1) hardship or financial need (2) sibling scholarship. VOSHA will send out an organization wide notice when applications open. All submissions must be completed in full to be eligible for scholarship opportunities. The Board will review all completed applications and the recipients will be notified by mid September.

Scholarship amounts can be awarded for up to 25% of the player season fees unless otherwise specified by the Board of Directors. Scholarship amounts are per recipient per year and are credited towards the player's season fees. All funds will be based on application review, a signed contract upon scholarship granted, parent/player involvement, and volunteer efforts. Prior to Board review, applicant names and identifying information are removed to maintain privacy and to ensure that the selection process remains objective and nondiscriminatory.

Scholarship applications are currently closed and will re-open in August
